This page explains what we keep when you create your Future-Proof account and your plan, and why.
What we keep
- Your first name and email, to set up your account and send you your lessons.
- The answers you gave while setting up your plan: goals, job, years in it, how you use AI today, learning days, reminder time and the plan you picked.
- How you use the site: which page you came from, the pages and sections you viewed or listened to, what you clicked, how far you scrolled and which steps you finished. We also record how the page is used (mouse movement, taps and scrolling) to find what is confusing. Everything you type into a field is hidden in those recordings.
- Your approximate location (country and city), worked out from your IP address, plus your browser, device and screen size.
Who helps us
We use PostHog (servers in the United States) to measure visits and record sessions, and it stores an id in a cookie and in your browser's local storage to recognise return visits. When you create your account we link your visits to your email in PostHog, so we can see which parts of Future-Proof helped you. Your account and plan are stored in our own database.
Why we keep it
To save your account and your plan, to email you your lessons and reminders, and to learn which parts of Future-Proof people want most. Your answers shape the lessons we build.
What we never do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't send marketing email unless you ticked the box to get your lessons and reminders.
Your choices
Every email has an unsubscribe link. To see or delete what we hold about you, reply to any email we send you and we will do it within 30 days.
Who runs this
Future-Proof is made by the team behind the After Superintelligence channel.
